WHAT’S IN A CALORIE?

Energy exists everywhere and everything is made up of energy of one form or another. It is not created nor is it destroyed but it does in its own way change or transforms itself into another state. It cannot be destroyed so when one consumes it, it must be used one way or another. Therefore you will either conduct it or radiate it. Any energy that is generated is also going to be radiated to keep the body temperature the same.

The adult human body on the average must consume from 1,800 to 3,600 kilo-calories a day. The minimum amount the human body can consume and remain healthy over the long term is 1,600 calories. A youth may need as much as twice the daily requirement because they are growing. Most of the energy consumed is passed out of the body without being used. This is a natural process. Therefore no matter how you obtain the energy you will still need to replenish it or one will ultimately suffer from ill health.

Most of us think of calories in association with food but calories are associated with anything that contains energy. What many don’t realize is that a calorie is an energy unit and it is the measure of how many units that are in anything that contains energy. Essentially if someone who is a vampyric is drawing energy from something or someone they are drawing in caloric units. One example would be a gallon of gasoline. A gallon is approximately 4 liters and it contains 31,000,000 calories (31,000 kilograms or kilo-calories). A calorie is merely the amount of heat that is needed to raise the temperature of one gram of water. This would be measured by Celsius or 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit. An example of this in the physical sciences, which would be equivalent to a calorie, would be 4,184 joules. Essentially we are walking, talking batteries that radiate energy we slough off from what we take in for sustenance. It doesn’t matter how we consume these calories because the process should be basically the same.

Energy is needed for anyone to survive. A vampyric will not die without outside energy from other sources than food. It appears since the needed amount is so much greater from anecdotal evidence that their energy levels could be much more depleted than the norm due to the need of a much higher concentration of calories. Then we need to understand what the calorie does in the body. The amount of energy consumed via calories is used for maintenance of breathing, movement, to pump blood, etc. and most people acquire this energy from food. In the case of the vampyric it appears that they also need energy that is not encapsulated in food from a variety of sources depending on how each individual can metabolize it the best. All of these factors of course are affected by heredity and for the vampyric that call is still up in the air. We just don’t know but it would seem from appearances that it is similar except in the area of perhaps aging. This is usually calculated by basal metabolic rate, physical activity and thermic affect of the food we eat. Unfortunately for the vampyric there may be yet one or more unknown factors that apply differently from the norm. Perhaps the vampyric needs more energy while resting than the average person (BMR). This is 60 to 70 percent of calories burned daily by the average human being and is what is used to keep all bodily functions stabilized. The male supposedly has a much higher BMR according to research.

The problem lies in figuring what the difference would be from the average human to the vampyric in how many calories they would need per day on an individual basis. This would be difficult because it would seem there are unknown characteristics which would mean the calculations would be different. It appears that it differs partly depending on the source of the energy. It must be a lot higher or food would be sufficient. We all know it is not.

If we take a look at metaphysical thought which has been actually extracted from Eastern thought we get this idea:

The Human Energy Field, sometimes called the Aura, is a complex combination of overlapping energy patterns which define the unique spiritual, mental, emotional and physical makeup of an individual. A person's Human Energy Field (HEF) is that part of the Universal Energy Field (UEF) associated with that specific individual. There are three basic ways of describing the HEF: in terms of energy meridians, chakras and energy bodies. 2

Energy meridians are pathways of energy that run through the body. You could look at it as sort of “ley lines” of the human body. These energy meridians have points which affect all of the systems and organs of the body and it is through this knowledge that some believe healing methods work such as acupressure, acupuncture, and reflexology. The amount of energy needed to boost the aura and affect these energy meridians is unknown to my knowledge but may relate back again to calories. This also could account for the idea of some in the vampyric community believing there is some sort of break in the auric field or inability for these meridians to carry the energy properly throughout the HEF. Perhaps the HEF is somewhat different and therefore the ability to carry the energy through the body is impacted or not so much impacted, just the nature of the difference between the vampyric and the average human. These are all things to be pondered.

The physical body is merely a field of vibrating energy and this field may vary depending on the nature of that body.

The physical body is the densest form of energy that our consciousness uses to explore its environment and interact with others. By the densest form, it is meant that the vibrational patterns of the physical body are of a frequency low enough to be seen by our eyes (they are within the spectrum of visible light), heard by our ears (about 30 to 15,000 Hertz), and experienced with the senses of touch, taste and smell which are within the "frequency capability" of our physical body. 2

The body has actually been structured from a much higher form of energy we cannot see. It vibrates at a higher octave and has been reduced so that we perceive it as matter. We cannot see the higher vibrations beyond certain levels of visible light which includes x-rays, the ultraviolet spectrum and cosmic radiation although NASA is well aware of the affects of the latter on astronauts. This is one factor that has delayed manned space travel due to the adverse affects of this type of energy on the physical body. We are just now beginning to understand through quantum physics that there is much more energy that surrounds us than our physical senses can detect. We need to understand that “our physical body is really a field of vibrating energy that has coalesced from higher less dense octaves.” 1

One field of energy interconnects to another by what is called “sympathetic vibration.” “Resonance is the action of creating a sympathetic vibration and entrainment between two vibrating systems or fields, in which the more coherent and ordered field will always; influence the less coherent, disordered field.”3 It could be that the vampyric takes this energy and has the capability of modifying and amplifying it due to frequencies that are innate we cannot perceive. The basis of all particles is on sound and vibration which is equated with energy because everything has its own unique tone and I would guess that the vampyric has the ability to connect to the sounds and types of energy necessary for their well being. Anything beyond that would be obsession or fetish.

Consequently, what you take in you also expel. Therefore if you are vibrating to a much higher frequency the likelihood is the body would have adapted a way to take in energy in a much more accessible manner along with the food. You would continue to do so because what you take in also is radiated back out. It would be in a pure energy state. Whereas the calories taken from food would be denser and there would be by-products of food that we expel via the body that is visible to the eye. It is merely waste from the food depending on the health of the body and other factors. There would be no difference in that necessity. The energy is used up in various ways by the cells, etc and physical activity but is depleted and the cycle must again be repeated. Essentially the expelling of the energy would be the same in nature as anyone else but may be much more in degree. It seems to be moot whether it is from food or any other place because once the body absorbs it; it is all just energy units, calories.
